Here's your opportunity to learn wire art from a Master
Jewelry Designer. Students will create sophisticated, wire wrapped and
wire smithed jewelry using techniques learned in class. All tools and
materials will be provided.

This
wonderful new book from Jewelry Artist and Author Jim McIntosh takes
you from the basics of wire art to some very advanced concepts of
design. The book has over 390 images that illustrate all of the steps
in producing fine wire jewelry. The book is broken down into 3 sections
that span 289 pages.

offers jewelry artists a new way to make beautiful jewelry that has a
modern contemporary look. As artists we're always looking for new and
interesting ways to produce jewelry. We have an adventurous spirit that
prompts us to take risks and test out new designs everyday. This book
is dedicated to creating new designs by combining new wire wrap
techniques with basic metalsmithing skills.

Wire Wrapping
Date: Sat. July 25, 2009
Time: 10 - 5 PM
Fee: $145 (Includes Materials)
During the morning session, students will create the Pearl Lasso Ring. Although the design is somewhat contemporary, adding a pearl conveys an "old world" vintage feel.
After lunch, we'll have a short Q&A session after which students will begin work on the Empress Bracelet, the perfect project to feature a beautiful cabochon.

Wire Smithing
Date: Sun. July 26, 2009
Time: 10 - 5 PM
Fee: $155 (Includes Materials)
During the morning session, students will create the Outer Ring Pendant.
Although this project is somewhat advanced, Jim will make sure each
student learns the proper technique. Students will use a torch during
this class.
After lunch, we will begin work on the Basic Cuff Bracelet,
This project will challenge students to use skills from the morning
class in a slightly different way to create a beautiful cuff bracelet.
